NEPSE down by 3.35 points; turnover below Rs 300 million

NEPSE Index slipped meager 3.35 points or 0.35 percent to close at 945.78 level today.

The benchmark index reached above 954 level within the few minutes after opening at 949.38 level this afternoon. However there after the local bourse slide down hill to finally end at 945.78 level.

Shares of Insurance companies continued to be mostly traded where shares of LICN, NLIC and NLICL were traded of more than Rs 81.94 million which is more than 29 percent of total turnover.

Today’s turnover stood at Rs 280.45 million where 427,141 unit shares of 130 scrips were traded through 1,685 transactions.

Trading of only insurance companie's shares were done more than of Rs 120 million whereas commercial bank’s shares were traded of more than Rs 98 million.

While among the sub-indices, Hotels and Manufacturing were on the gainer side where as Banking, Development, HydroPower, Finance, Insurance and Others landed in red.

Share Price of HGI, NBBL and SIL surged more than 5 percent whereas SBLPO, TDBL, UIC, KRBL and YETI were among the top losers of the day.
