The NEPSE index closed at 2,037.92 today after losing 18.96 points from last trading day. This is a loss of 0.92%. The index had lost 5.11 points yesterday.
The index opened at 2,059.83 points and went intraday high at 2,074.73. Then, the index went intraday low at 2,036.80 and ultimately closed at 2,037.92.
223 scrips traded hands via 36,264 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 6,298,638 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1.761 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 1.935 Arba.
SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) had the highest turnover of Rs. 7.27 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 733 per share. The shares of Laxmi Equity Fund (LEMF) traded the most.
Himalayan Hydropower Limited (HHL) gained highest 9.99% and technically hit positive circuit for the day.
On the other side of things, Unilever Nepal Limited (UNL) lost the highest 8.23% today.
Only one sector closed green, "Mutual Fund" gained 0.46% while "Finance" lost the highest 2.38%.
