NEPSE declines by 4.42 points; settles at 1,380.29 points with minimal turnover of Rs 24.67 Crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has depreciated slightly today by 4.42 points or 0.32% to close at 1,380.29 points.
Today, the only local bourse of the country had opened at 1,384.71 points and was seen declining
throughout the day and the index ultimately ended in the red zone.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 24.67 crore where more than 6.84 lakh unit shares were traded through 3,440 transactions.
Promoter Shares of Siddhartha Bank Limited (SBLPO) stood ahead in terms of total turnover as more than Rs 1.74 crore worth of its shares were traded today. In addition, over 89 thousand unit shares of SBLPO exchanged their ownership today making it the highest traded shares.
Scrips of Salt Trading Company Limited (STC) made the highest profit today as their value increased by 10% to Rs 308. On the other hand shares of Dibyashwori Hydropower Ltd. (DHPL) lost the most today with their value tumbling by 5.47% to Rs 138.
Both the Sensitive and float index went down today by 0.74 points and 0.3 points respectively.
Apart from the indices of 3 trading groups i.e. trading, development banks and others, all other groups lost points today and landed in red. Insurance sector that lost 73.07 points stood as the top loser. Development bank sector however gained 6.76 points which saw it landed in green making it the most profitable sector for the day.
