NEPSE continues its upward trend; surges by 12.27 points to rest at 1456.07 with NLIC grabbing highest turnover value

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has increased today by 12.27 points or 0.85% to close at 1456.07 points.
NEPSE had opened at 1443.80 points and it continued to rise till it reached 1457.83 after which the market faced a slight decrease. At the end of the day, the index ended gaining 12.27 points.
The total turnover of the day was over Rs 50.17 crore where more than 9.15 lakh units of shares were exchanged through 4,532 transactions.
Like yesterday, Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) stood ahead in terms of total turnover for the day with its total transactions exceeding over Rs 6.36 crore. 117,176 shares of Sanima Mai Hydropower Ltd.(SHPC) were traded today, making it the most traded scripts.
Best Finance Company Limited (BFC) made the highest profit today as their value increased by 6.11% to Rs 139. Likewise, Everest Insurance Company (EIC) was the top loser as its value decreased by 9.9877% to Rs 2,190 hitting negative circuit.
Both the Sensitive and Float index moved up by 2.69 points and 0.9 points respectively today.
The indices of all the trading groups except the Manufacturing & production showed an upward movement and landed in green today. Insurance sector gained 34.28 points and continued to stand as the top gainers which was followed by Microfinance sub-indices. Manufacturing & production was the only group which landed in red today whose value decreased by 3.11 points.
