NEPSE continues its bearish trend; NLIC records turnover of above Rs 10.5 crore after declaration of handsome dividend

NEPSE index has decreased today as well with double figures. The market had opened with 1374.73 points and closed losing 15.78 points or 1.15% to close at 1358.95 points.
Total turnover worth Rs 55.24 crore was witnessed during the trading hours as more than 14 lakh unit shares were traded in the whole day. 4,802 transactions were made for the transaction of the scrips.
Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than 10.56 crore worth shares were traded. Similarly, Nepal Credit and Commerce Bank Promoters Share (NCCBPO) was the top in case of number of shares traded as more than 2.79 lakh unit shares were exchanged.
Likewise, World Merchant Banking and Finance Limited (WMBF) was the top gainer of the day as it gained 4.24%. And, Rastriya Beema Company Limited Promoter Share (RBCLPO) was the top loser of the day losing 8.6388% on its price.
Both the sensitive and float index decreased by 1.01 points and 1.07 points respectively.
All the sub-indices decreased and landed in red zone today. Insurance was the top losing sector for the day losing 122.5 points and was followed by Hotels losing 57.8 points.
