NEPSE Closes Red on First Trading Day of the Week; Lost 0.51% Today

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a loss of 10.62 points, or 0.51%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 2,070.25 points. The index had incurred a loss of 27.84 points in the trading session before.

The trading day commenced with the index opening at 2,082.41, dipping to an intraday low of 2,064.32, and peaking at an intraday high of 2,086.03.

During today's trading, there were 304 different stocks traded in 63,009 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 8,406,076 with a total turnover of Rs. 3.38 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 32.54 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 11.07 Kharba.

 

SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) had the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 41.64 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 576.

 

Similarly, Saptakoshi Development Bank Ltd (SAPDBL) showed the highest gain of 10%, followed by Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GLBSL) with a gain of 9.56%.

 

On the flip side, Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (WNLB) experienced the highest loss of 7.83%.

 

In sector indices, the Three Sector Indices closed in the green today. The "Development Bank Index" saw the highest gain of 0.82%, while the "Hotels And Tourism Index" experienced a loss of 1.56%.
