NEPSE closes in red again losing 1.43 points; City Express climbs to top gainer after being the top loser for all 5 days of last week

First day of the week and NEPSE loses another 1.43 points or 0.12% ending up in the red zone. The market had opened at 1191.24 today, experienced slight fluctuations and closed at 1189.88 points.

The total turnover for today stands at Rs 16.7 crore with a total of 5.97 lakh shares traded. Similarly 2,989 transactions were carried out throughout the day.

Sanima Mai Hydropower (SHPC) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than Rs 80.94 lakh worth of shares was exchanged. Similarly, SHPC was also ahead in terms of shares traded as 25,784 unit shares were traded during the day.

The shareholders of City Express Finance Co. (CEFL) earned the most today as the price of the share increased by 11 points and the LTP stood at Rs 123. CEFL was the top loser for all the 5 trading days of last week and has finally come out of the shadows. Similarly, the shareholders of IME General Insurance (IGI) lost 42 points to record its LTP at Rs 806.

The subindices for Hotels, Development Banks, Others, Microfinance and Life Insurance gained and closed in green. Whereas Banking, Hydropower, Finance, Non-life Insurance and Manufacturing & Processing ended in red. The Development Bank sector gained the most, climbing by 11.17 points. Similarly, the Non-Life Insurance sector lost the most losing 30.92 points.
