NEPSE closer to 1000 mark; closes above 990 level

The benchmark index of Nepal Stock Exchange gained 4.78 points or 0.48 percent to close above 900 mark at 991.44 level.
Similarly NEPSE Sensitive and Float raised by 1.19 points and 0.28 point to stand at 212.24 and 69.48 levels respectively.
Opening at 983.28 level this afternoon, the local bourse moved around 984 – 986 mark till 2 PM and there after moved up above 990 mark till closing.
As the market is approaching towards the level of 1000, the involvement of investors in the market is also surging rapidly. “With the similar trend, we can see the index above 1000 level very soon” Said Yogesh Agrawal, one of the active trader in secondary market.
Banking increased by 6.15 points or 0.7 percent to stand at 885.86 level.
Similarly Development and Finance stepped up by 6.63 points and 2 points respectively.
Hotels, HydroPower and Insurance plunged by 12.57 points, 8.83 points and 9.47 points respectively.
Manufacturing dropped by meager 0.24 points whereas Others went up by 8.22 points.
The total turnover stood at Rs 357.242 million which included Rs 21.33 million manual transaction.
Trading of Grand bank shares was halted from today by NEPSE due to acquisition process by Prabhu Bank, whereas Prabhu Bank shares were traded of Rs 57.29 million, recording last traded price of Rs 326.
Share Price of HAMA, Siddhartha Finance, and Innovative Development increased maximum today.
