NEPSE Climbs 26.53 Points Led by Banking Sector Gains; Overall Volume Stood at Rs. 7.12 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a double-digit gain today, gaining 26.53 points (1.02%) to settle at 2,622.28. This follows a 4.45-point loss in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2,594.94, touching an intraday high at 2,626.21, while the lowest point was 2,594.23. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 7.12 Arba, with 16,643,114 shares traded across 328 companies through 74,752 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 43.69 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 14.76 Kharba.

Sahas Urja Limited (SAHAS) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 57.86 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 595.10.

Saptakoshi Development Bank Ltd (SAPDBL) led the gainers' list with a 9.99% gain.

Meanwhile, Joshi Hydropower Development Company Ltd (JOSHI) recorded the steepest drop, falling 5.57%.

Among sectors, the Banking sector registered the highest gain, gaining 2%, while the Manufacturing and Processing Index saw the highest loss at 0.56%.
