NEPSE bleds 9.19 points; settles at 1,431.10 points with turnover over Rs 32.83 Crore

On the last trading day for the month of Poush, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has dipped by 9.19 points or 0.64% to close at 1,431.10 points.
The only local bourse of the country had opened at 1,440.14 points and was seen south bound throughout the day and the index ultimately ended in red.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 32.83 crore where more than 6.70 lakh unit shares were traded through 4,022 transactions.
Forward Community Microfinance Bitiya Sanstha Limited (FOWAD) stood ahead in terms of total turnover for the day with its total transactions exceeding over Rs 1.93 crore. Over 32 thousand unit shares of Laxmi Bank Limited (LBL) were traded today making it the most traded scrips.
Scrips of Chilime Hydropower Company Limited (CHCL) made the highest profit today as their value increased byRs 62 to Rs 954. On the other hand, shares of Central Finance Limited (CFCL) didn’t perform well with their value tumbling by 6.29% to Rs 134.
Both the Sensitive and float index came down today by1.48 points and 0.64 points respectively.
The indices of all the trading groups except hydropower and others sub-indices showed a downward movement and landed in red today. Insurance sector that lost 97.79 points stood as the top loser which was followed by Manufacturing and production sector. Hydropower sector however gained 55.37 points which saw it landed in green.
