NEPSE bleds 4.96 points; rests at 1467.19 points with turnover exceeding 55.95 Crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has dipped today by 4.96 points or 0.34% to close at 1467.19 points.
The only local borse of the country had opened at 1,471.49 points and started scaling up till it touched the 1481 mark after which the market again started losing points. After such a movement, the index ultimately ended in red.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 55.95 crore where more than 14.57 lakh unit shares were traded through 6,064 transactions.
Standard Charter Bank (SCB) stood ahead in terms of total turnover for the day with its total transactions exceeding over 8.45 crore. Over 1.6 lakh unit promoter shares of Pravu Bank (PRVUPO) were traded today making it the most traded scripts.
Scripts of Green Development Bank (GRDBL) made the highest profit today as their value increased by 9.89% to Rs. 589. On the other hand, shares of Sindu Bikash Bank (SINDU) didn’t perform well with their value tumbling by 9.89% to Rs. 16.
Both the Sensitive and float index came down today by1.06 points and 0.3 points respectively.
The indices of all the trading groups except the Finance sub-indices showed a downward movement and landed in red today. Insurance sector that lost 36.78 points stood as the top loser which was followed by Development Bank sector.
