NEPSE almost stable; slips meager 0.16 point

NEPSE index slipped meager down by 0.16 point or 0.02 percent to close at 980.54 level.

The local bourse opened at 980.38 level this afternoon and stepped down to 975 within the initial hour and thereafter gained points to close above 980 till closing.

Among the sub-indices, Banking (864.79), Development (804.06) and Finance (525.46) dropped by 1.95 point, 0.39 point and 0.65 point respectively.


HydroPower dipped by double digit of 15.2 points to close at 2319.05 level.

Manufacturing loosed 8.44 points whereas Insurance gained 10.65 points or 0.52 percent to close at 2052.00 level.


Hotels and Others managed to move up by 10.65 points and 9.4 points to stand at 2052.00 and 746.02 levels.

Altogether 543,424 unit shares of 147 companies were traded through 2,920 transactions worth total of Rs 255.24 million.

Shares of CCBL and PLIC along with Prabhu Bank were traded maximum today.
