NEPSE almost corrects yesterday’s gain after losing 14.61 points; turnover of more than Rs.50 Crore posted today

The market today almost nulled what it had gained yesterday. The market that had gained 15.17 points yesterday, lost 1.24% or 14.61 points to close at 1168.17 points. The turnover was of Rs.53.23 Crore which was achieved from trade of 1,478,724 units of shares traded through 5,674 transactions trading scrips of 159 listed companies in the process.

Through trade of 166,792 units of shares, Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) posted a turnover of Rs.5.09 Crore, topping the turnover and shares traded list. The LTP of the bank stands at Rs.306 per share.

Two companies hit the positive circuit today. Support Microfinance (SMFDB) gained 10% or 79 points while Civil Laghubitta (CLBSL) gained 9.81% or 52 points. Today’s top loser, Vijaya Laghubitta (VLBS), lost 7.37% or 52 points to close at Rs.653 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 3.04 points and closed at 248.59 points while Float Index lost 1.23 points and closed at 84.99 points.

Manufacturing & Products and Others were the only sub-indices that ended in the green zone gaining 0.42% and 0.75% respectively. Rest of the sub-indices lost points with Non-Life Insurance losing the most at 3.52% or 192.32 points.
