NEPSE Able to Close Green on Last Trading Day of the Week; 9 Hydropower Scrips Hit Positive Circuit with Total Turnover of Rs 1.32 Arba

It was an interesting market movement today. Although the NEPSE index lost vigorously in the first half of the day, the market rebounded in the last two trading hours and closed green.

NEPSE closed at 1,439.06 levels, rising 7.53 points (0.53%).

22.93 points volatility was witnessed today, with the highest peak being 1444.06 and the lowest bottom being 1421.13.

A total of 3,430,532 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1,320,266,678 in the turnover amount. 189 scrips were traded via 21,818 transactions.

Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) has the highest turnover of Rs. 22.91 crores closing at a LTP of Rs. 599 per share. Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) has the second-highest turnover of Rs. 8.95 crores. Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) also has the highest number of shares traded for the day among all companies.

Float index is up by 0.49 points and is currently at 100.99. On the other hand, the Sensitive Index is currently at 300.95 after gaining 0.46 points from the previous close.

Interestingly, nine hydropower companies and one microfinance company hit a 10% positive circuit today.

Khani Khola Hydropower Company Limited (KKHC), Aarambha Chautari Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ACLBSL), Panchakanya Mai Hydropower Limited (PMHPL), National Hydro Power Company Limited (NHPC), Himalaya Urja Bikas Company Limited (HURJA), Rairang Hydropower Development Company Limited (RRHP), Ankhukhola Hydropower Company Limited (AKJCL), Union Hydropower Company Limited (UNHPL), Joshi Hydropower Development Company Limited (JOSHI), and Ghalemdi Hydro Limited (GHL) hit positive circuits today.

On the other hand, Ghodighoda Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GGBSL) lost the most 9.85% followed by Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GLBSL) that lost 5.34%.

All sectors gained today, with Manufacturing and Products gaining the most 0.99%.
