NEPSE Able To Close Above 2000 Levels; Records Highest Turnover In 3 Months

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw a gain of 1.30%, or 25.93 points, settling at 2,006.28 points at the close of trading today, following a gain of 0.07 points in the previous session.

Opening at 1,991.51, the trading day witnessed fluctuations as the index reached an intraday high of 2,016.61 before dipping to an intraday low of 1,979.31.

With a bustling trading environment, 320 different stocks were exchanged in 75,271 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 11,838,150 with a total turnover of Rs. 4.80 Arba, this is the highest turnover after 3 months. Last time on 31st January 2024, the turnover was Rs. 5.29 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 31.81 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.78 Kharba.

Shine Resunga Development Bank Ltd. (SHINE) emerged as the highlight of the day with a turnover of Rs. 18.24 Crore, closing at a market price of Rs. 397.70.

 

Similarly, Corporate Development Bank Limited (CORBL) showed the highest gain of 10%, followed by Infinity Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ILBS) with a gain of 9.99%.

 

Conversely, Pokhara Finance Ltd. (PFL) faced a decline, losing 7.18% to close at Rs. 679.00.

 

In terms of sector, Only one sector Index concluded in negative territory, with the "Development Bank Index" leading with a gain of 4.90%. However, the "Finance Index" witnessed a decline of 1.18%.
