Nepal Weather Update: Cloudy Skies and Rainfall Forecast Across the Country

Today's Weather:

The weather across the country is generally cloudy today, with significant weather events expected in various provinces. Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at some places in Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, Karnali Province, and Sudur Pashchim Province. Additionally, there's a possibility of light to moderate rain at a few places in the rest of the provinces.

Notably, there is a heightened risk of heavy to very heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places in Lumbini Province and Sudur Pashchim Province, so residents in these areas are advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions.

Tonight's Weather:

Tonight, the weather remains generally cloudy throughout the country. Light to moderate rain is expected at some places in Koshi Province, Madesh Province, and Gandaki Province, with a possibility of heavy rainfall in a few places in these regions.

Meteorological Analysis:

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division, the current meteorological analysis reveals that the Axis of the Monsoon Trough lies south of the average station in the west and north of the average station in the east. Additionally, there is a partial influence of a low-pressure area in and around North Madhya Pradesh of India in Nepal, contributing to the current weather conditions.
