Nepal Rastra Bank to re-purchase NRB bonds worth Rs 40 arba today

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has issued a notice to re-purchase NRB bonds worth Rs 40 arba today. As per the notice issued by the Public Debit Management Department, NRB, interested sellers must provide the series number of the bond they are interested to sell, the amount, and the interest rate for the same by 2 PM today (Magh 5, 2073). Yesterday, bonds worth only Rs 1.53 arba out of Rs 40 arba was sold by Standard Chartered Bank only. Nepal Rastra Bank had denied 26 bids yesterday saying the banks were interested in selling for low interest rates only.
