Nepal Rastra Bank's Currency Management Department has recently issued a notice announcing the introduction of Rs 20 currency notes into circulation. These notes, despite their unchanged size and color, feature several distinctive elements and enhanced security measures.

Individuals seeking to exchange their older notes for these newly introduced ones can do so at the bank. Notably, if your old notes have series numbers ranging from THA 87 000001 to TA 18 999999 and you come to ask for the payment of rupees guaranteed by the Government of Nepal, you will receive 20 rupees from Nepal Rastra Bank immediately.

Here are the key details of the Rs 20 currency notes:

Front of the Note:

1. A prominent image of Mount Everest graces the left side of the note, highlighting Nepal's iconic natural landmark.
2. On the right side of the note, you'll find a watermark featuring the Laliguras flower, adding an extra layer of security.
3. The signature of Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari is prominently displayed in the designated area for the Governor's signature.
4. The lower border of the note features the Series Number written in Nepali as "B.S 2079," reflecting the Nepali calendar year.

Back of the Note:

1. In the upper middle portion of the note, "NEPAL RASTRA BANK" is printed in English.
2. The central design on the back of the note showcases a striking image of two swamp deers, showcasing Nepal's rich wildlife.
3. At the bottom of the note, you'll find "RUPEES TWENTY" written in English.
4. The Series Number is also displayed in English as "2023 A.D." along the lower border of the note, denoting the current year.
