Nepal Chamber of Commerce to halt ongoing protest against BFIs until federal and provincial election; reiterates to continue its struggle until the growing interest rate is slashed

Nepal Chamber of Commerce has urged its subordinates and associated chambers to temporarily halt the ongoing protest against the spike in the bank interest rate until the conclusion of the upcoming parliamentary and provincial level elections in Nepal.
The chamber has reiterated that its struggle against the syndicate of the BFIs in the interest rate will continue after the election until these BFIs agree to its demands to lower the interest rate and of preservation of the business environment in the nation. The chamber has also urged the BFIs to undo the irrelevant and expensive service charges that they levy on the borrowers at the time of renewal and issuance of the loans, as per the media statement.
