Nepal Bangladesh Bank signs agreement with Boom Remittance

Nepal Bangladesh Bank Limited and Boom Remittance Pvt. Ltd have signed the agreement to do the transactions of Boom Remit. Mr. Dhirendra Pant, Managing Director of Boom Remittance and Mr. Surendra Bhusan Shrestha, Deputy General Manager of Nepal Bangladesh Bank Ltd. signed the pact. As per the press release published yesterday, the branches of Nepal Bangladesh Bank can make payouts of Boom Remit and its associated products and as well send/remit domestic transactions of Boom Remit from Boom Remit's software. Boom Remit has more than 4000 agents in all 75 districts of Nepal and similarly, Nepal Bangladesh Bank Ltd. has 47 branches and 2 extension counters all over Nepal. Boom Remit has liaison with many banks in Nepal to open Migrants accounts from abroad countries itself. Boom Remit has been educating and making banking awareness campaigns to the Migrant workers abroad about the disadvantages of money laundering (Hundi) and its consequences. Managing Director of Boom Remit Mr. Dhirendra Pant is advocating making sending charge free for the Migrant Workers abroad and enhancing remittance which should be used in infrastructures by forming "Nepali Migrants Remittance Board".
