NB Bank profit soars by 27.70%; Q3 earnings reach Rs 51.30 crore

Nepal Bangladesh Bank Limited (NBB) has reported a profit rise of 27.70 percent in the third quarter of the current fiscal year 2071/72.

Publicizing the unaudited quarterly report for the third quarter today, the commercial bank has stated that it has net profit of Rs 51.30 crore in the third quarter, up from Rs 40.17 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year 2070/71.

In the third quarter NB bank’s net interest income has risen to Rs 76.01 crore, up from Rs 56.22 crore in the corresponding quarter.

It also mobilized Rs 29.57 arba in deposit and Rs 25.33 arba in loan as compared to Rs 23.52 arba in deposit and Rs 17.60 arba in loan in the corresponding quarter last year.

The bank’s non-performing loan stood at 1.93 percent.

Its EPS (annualized) now stands at Rs 28 in third quarter up from Rs 25 in corresponding quarter and its net worth per share is priced at Rs 190.

Similarly, NB Price Earnings Ratio (annualized) stands at Rs 18 and its returns on equity and assets (annualized) stand at 14.80 and 1.86 percent respectively.
