National Life Insurance Reports Decline In Net Profit; A Look At Major Highlights Of Q3

National Life Insurance Company Limited (NLICL) has published its third-quarter report of the fiscal year 2078/2079 with a decline in Net Profit by 20.76% compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The company’s net profit declined to Rs. 25.56 crores in this quarter from Rs. 32.25 crores in the corresponding quarter.
As per the unaudited report for the third quarter published today, National Life has a paid-up capital of Rs. 4.03 Arba with a reserve of Rs. 52.92 crores.
The company has Rs. 49.04 Arba in life insurance fund and Rs. 33.40 crores in the contingent fund.
The Net Premium rose by 17.04% to Rs. 10.17 Arba in FY 2078/2079 from Rs. 8.69 Arba in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The company has earned Rs. 2.59 arba from income from investment, loans, and other headings.
The company’s Net claim increased by 42.93% to Rs. 4.05 arba till this quarter. The company’s number of policies stood at 1,152,914 till Q3 of 2078/2079.
Its annualized earnings per share (EPS) stood at Rs. 8.45 whereas Net worth per share stood at Rs. 121.39. The company traded at a P/B multiple of 6.33 times.
