Nepal Automobile Dealers Association has issued a media statement denouncing the recently announced budget by the federal government of Nepal by the Minister of Finance Dr. Yuvraj Khatiwada.

In a statement, chairman of the association Mr. Krishna Prasad Dulal has decried government’s recent taxation policy where it would levy heavy duty on the electrical vehicles similar to that of the fossil fuel run vehicles.

The association has drawn the government’s attention that the proposed tax will make the electric vehicles more expensive for the public to afford which would then ultimately damage the government’s policy to promote electric vehicles and reduce the fossil fuel run vehicle and to make the  nation energy independent.

NADA has also urged the government to gradually open up the nation now depending on the situation of infection because the prolong lockdown is causing a big dent in the economy of the nation, as per the statement.
