The monsoon system has spread across the country since Friday.

The monsoon entered Nepal one day later than the expected Sardar date and spread throughout the country after a delay of 9 days.

Typically, the monsoon enters Nepal by June 13, but this year it arrived one day late, on June 14th (Jestha 31st).

According to the Weather Forecast Division of the Department of Water and Meteorology, the monsoon system that entered from eastern Nepal has now spread across the entire country since Friday.

As mentioned in the bulletin issued by the division, light to moderate rainfall is expected in many parts of the country for the next three days, as the monsoon is now active and widespread.

Additionally, the division has predicted heavy rains in a few areas of Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, with the possibility of very heavy rainfall in one or two locations. The department has also advised exercising caution, as there is a potential risk of floods, landslides, and erosion during the monsoon season.
