Minor correction seen in the market; turnover stood at Rs 54.31 crore

Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) Index declined by 7.38 points (0.53%) today to close at 1,382.45 points. The market opened at 1389.83 today and made an upward swing to touch 1416.26. It then fell to 1377.52, however it rose slightly and ended at 1382.45. Huge turnover was seen in the very first hour, however it slowed down and stood at Rs.54.31 crore at the end of the trading day.
3.36 lakh units of NMB Sulav Investment Fund-1 (NMBSF1) and 94,581 units of Prabhu Bank Limited (PRVU) were traded the most today. 12.95 lakh unit shares were traded through 5,490 transactions. Nerude Laghubitta Bikas Bank Limited (NLBBL) and Rapti Bheri Bikas Bank Limited (RBBBL) were the highest gainers. Sahayogi Bikas Bank (SBBLJ) and NMB Bank Promoter Share (NMBPO) lost the most today.
Today, the sensitive index dropped by 1.35 points, whereas float index shrunk by 0.48 points. Correction was seen in all the sub-indices, however, only Development Bank index ended up in green.
