Ministry of Finance directs SEBON to resolve the CGT issue with in 3 days; What will be the final call?

Ministry of Finance (MoF) directs Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) to resolve the issue of Capital Gain Tax (CGT) that has been causing quite a chaos in the market.

Ministry sent a letter to SEBON on Wednesday directing SEBON to solve the issue within three days.

On a previous discussion following decision had been made,

"The CDS and clearing will be determining the average price of shares from 2058 BS till 2076 BS (Ashad end) based on the highest and lowest price during this period. The amount that comes from this calculation will be used as the base price for CGT calculation."

However, the said method hasn't been implemented yet and the decision to be made by SEBON will be implemented.
