MetLife launches group medical insurance scheme

KATHMANDU, Jan 2:

American Life Insurance Company (MetLife) has launched a new insurance plan named ´Comprehensive Group Medical Insurance Policy´..

Issuing a statement, the company said the new medical plan provides flexible benefits that can be tailored to fit the needs of organizations and their employees.

The plan offers a wide range of benefits for employees, their spouse and dependent children. "This plan provides basic in-patient general hospitalization including daily room and board charges, nursing care and services, intensive care benefits, cost of registered ambulance services to and from hospital, surgical benefits, doctor´s in-patient visits, diagnostic x-ray and laboratory expenses in the hospital, minor surgeries and day care, selected pre and post hospitalization expenses," the company said in the statement.

 It also provides maternity care, out-patient/OPD general, dental and optical coverage. The company believes that the plan will enhance social security for the people and help them afford good medical care.
