Meager profit growth of Chilime Hydropower by 5.34% in Q2; Sales to NEA surges by 8.95%

Chilime Hydropower Company Limited (CHCL) has posted meager growth in net profit of 5.34% in the second quarter of the current fiscal year 2072/73.
According to the unaudited balance sheet of the hydropower published today, its profit after tax increased to Rs. 56.17 crore this quarter from Rs.53.32 in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year 2071/72.
The company made an income of Rs. 64.25 crore, mainly from selling electricity, in the second quarter, up from Rs. 58.97 crore in the corresponding quarter, increased by 8.95%.
Its interest income declined to Rs. 4.08 crore from Rs. 5.68 crore which is decrease of Rs. 1.60 crore.
Chilime’s reserve fund has slightly risen to Rs. 4.34 arba in the second quarter, up from Rs.4.20 arba in the corresponding quarter. Its paid up capital is Rs.3.13 arba.
Its annualized Earning per Share (EPS) stands at Rs 35.84, P/E ratio at 37.97 times and net worth stands at Rs. 238.72.
