Market surges by double digit on week’s last trading day; Turnover exceeds to 68.57 crore

On the last trading day of the week, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has increased by 13.03 points or 0.88% to close at 1,493.29 points today.
NEPSE Index opened at 1,480.28 points and the local bourse was seen in upward trend. The total turnover of the day stood at Rs68.57 crore, where more than 13.91 crore unitshares were traded through 5,481 transactions. Manual Turnover of Rs 21.99 crore was seen today.
Sana KisanBikas BankLimited Promoter Share (SKBBLP) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 21.99 crore) and most traded shares (244,351 units) today.
The best performer for the day was Synergy Power Development Limited (SPDL) whereas Himalayan General Insurance Company Limited (HGI) was among the biggest loser today.
Sensitive and float index went up by 2.47 points and 0.97 respectively.
Except trading sector, the sub-indices of all sectors landed in green at the end of the day. Hydropower sector increased the most i.e. 46.03 points followed by Insurance sector with 26.31 points.
