Market slumps by 3.08 points to close at 1141.10 points; MFIL loses the most after proposed dividend decreases

The market today was relatively volatile and stood to lose 0.27% or 3.08 points. The market closed at 1141.10 points. Today’s turnover was at Rs.38.32 Crore which was achieved from trade of 1,286,575 units of shares traded through 3,565 transactions trading scrips of 164 listed companies in the process.
Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) posted a massive turnover of Rs.13.48 Crore which was achieved from trade of 456,790 units of shares topping the turnover and shares traded list. The LTP of the bank stands at Rs.295 per share.
Today’s top gainer was Guheshowori Microfinance (GMFIL) after it gained 8.47% or 10 points to close at Rs.128 per share. After a blunder in dividend declaration, Manjushree Finance (MFIL) was today’s top loser after losing 7.25% or 9 points to close at Rs.115 per share.
Sensitive Index lost 0.76 points and closed at 243.06 points while Float Index lost 0.30 points and closed at 82.80 points.
Finance, Manufacturing & Products and Others were the only sectors among gaining sub-indices, gaining 0.03%, 0.63% and 0.09% respectively. Rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone with Hotels losing the most at 0.83%.
