Market slips by double digits closing at 1298.60 points; Sanima Mai Hydropower and Arun Valley Hydropower hit the positive circuit

The market today stood to lose 0.89% or 11.70 points and closed at 1298.60 points. The turnover today was worth Rs.95 Crore which was achieved from trade of 2,967,358 units of shares traded through 10,074 transactions trading scrips of 176 listed companies in the process.

Nepal Life Insurance (NLIC) topped the turnover list with turnover of Rs.16 Crore with its LTP at Rs.1271 per share. In terms of volume, Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) stood ahead with trade of 294,267 units of shares. The LTP of the commercial bank stands at Rs.318 per share.

Sanima Mai Hydropower (SHPC) and Arun Valley Hydropower (AHPC) hit the positive circuit today, gaining 9.96% and 9.71% respectively. Rastriya Beema Company (RBCL) was today’s top loser as it lost 5.89% or 604 points and closed at Rs.9646 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 2.74 points and closed at 279.10 points while Float Index lost 0.72 points and closed at 95.78 points.

Hydropower and Finance were among the gaining sectors while rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone after losing points.
