Market shows sign of stability; slides by 2.74 points with turnover above Rs 46.50 crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has slightly decreased by 2.74 points or 0.18% to close at 1,527.75 points today. Nepse Index opened at 1,530.46 points and was seen in sideways trajectory throughout the day. index Both the transaction volume and amount have shown a significant dip today. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 46.45 crore where more than 8.56 lakh unit of shares were traded through 4,101 transactions. Standard Chartered Bank Limited (SCB) topped the list of the companies in terms of turnover (Rs 6.06 crore) while Prime Life Insurance Company Promoter Shares (PLICPO) was traded the most today (50,000 units) Sensitive and float index went down by 0.69 points and 0.19 points respectively. Except Others and Manufacturing & Production sub- indices , the indices of eight trading groups landed in red at the end of the day.
