Market sees green after long; last moment attraction towards Microfinance and Insurance scrips leads the index to green

The market today went up by 15.65 points or 1.16%, which is the only green seen after quite a few days. However, the turnover was not that attractive amounting to only 50.6 crore. A total of 14.39 lakh unit shares were traded through 6,301 transactions throughout the day.

The market today had opened at 1,345.37 points today and saw minor ups and downs throughout the day. However during the last half-hour, the index started to climb and closed in green. The considerable increase in the index at the last moment was contributed by Insurance and Microfinance scrips.

Civil Bank Ltd. (CBL) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than 9.3 crore worth shares were traded. Similarly, CBL also stood at top in case of number of shares traded as 5.77 lakh unit shares were exchanged.

Likewise, Sindhu Bikas Bank (SINDU)) was the top gainer of the day as it gained 7.35% on its price and closed at Rs. 146. Similarly, Naya Nepal Laghubitta Biks Bank (NNLB) was the top loser of the day losing 5.58% on its price closing at Rs. 2,029.

The sub-indices for all sectors except Manufacturing & processing increased today and landed in green zone. The insurance sector gained the most, going up by 151.23 points. Similarly, Manufacturing and Processing sector lost by 2.43 points.
