The NEPSE index closed at 2,186.77 today after losing 6.71 points from last trading day. This is a loss of 0.31%. The index had lost 2.81 points yesterday.
The index opened at 2,196.13 points and went intraday high at 2,214.05. Then, the index made intraday low at 2,183.09 and ultimately closed at 2,186.77.
218 scrips traded hands via 57,424 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 9,542,626 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 4.029 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 3.293 Arba.
SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) had the highest turnover of Rs. 25.34 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 809 per share. The shares of Api Power Company Ltd. (API) traded the most.
Samling Power Company Limited (SPC) gained highest 9.99% and technically hit positive circuit for the day.
On the other side of things, Standard Chartered Bank Limited (SCB) lost the highest 3.92% today.
