Market Roundup: NEPSE Falls by 62.67 Points in Two Days, Settles Today at 1,893.70 Level; Intraday Turnover Stood at Rs. 1.119 Arba

The NEPSE index closed at 1,893.70 today after losing 23.52 points from last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 1.23%. The index had lost 39.15 points yesterday.

The index opened at 1,919.1 and made intraday high at 1,929.01. It then made intraday low at 1,889.64 and ultimately closed at 1,893.70.

226 scrips traded hands via 22,398 transactions. A total of 3,114,689 shares exchanged hands amounting to only Rs. 1.119 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 1.407 Arba.

SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) shares traded the most and had the highest turnover of Rs. 10.22 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 621.6 per share.

Mandakini Hydropower Limited (MHL) gained the highest 3.92% for the day.

On the other side of things, Upper Hewakhola Hydropower Company Limited (UHEWA) lost 6.91% today.

All sector indices closed red, "Finance" lost the highest 2.46% while "Banking" lost the least 0.68%.
