Market rises by double digit after downfall below 1500 level; Turnover above Rs 63.50 crore

On the last trading day of the week, the benchmark capital market index, Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), has closed with massive 37.11 points gain (or 2.49%) to close at 1,530.31 points. Today, NEPSE Index opened at 1493.18 points and the local bourse was seen in upward trend. Index rises after three days of continuous downfall. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 63.50 crore where more than 11.70 lakh units shares were traded through 6,613 transactions. index Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 3.08 crore) while NMB Samriddhi Fund-1 (NMBSF1) were traded the most (64500 units) today. The best performer of the day was Bishal Bazar Company Limited (BBC) and Rastriya Beema Company Limited (RBCL) hitting 10% positive circuit break while National Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NMFBS) was the biggest loser today. Sensitive and float index slightly went up by 7.41 points and 2.79 points respectively. All sectors at NEPSE landed in green.
