Market loses almost 10 points amidst wait & watch situation among investors; Minimal turnover above Rs 50.49 crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) dropped by 9.99 points or 0.60% to close at 1649.24 points today.
Nepse Index opened at 1659.23 points today and the local bourse went up to 1660.49 points in the first trading hour of the day, afterward it was seen in downward trend.
752,721 units shares of Laxmi Value Fund-1 (LVF1) and 722,453 unit shares of NIBL Samriddhi Fund -1 (NIBSF1) were traded the most today. Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Limited (SCB) and Life Insurance Corporation Nepal Limited (LICN) had the highest turnover of Rs 19.18 crore and Rs 18.95 crore respectively today.
Bottlers Nepal Terai (BNT) and Progressive Finance Company Limited (PROFL) hit positive circuit break today.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 50.49 crore where more than 28.21 lakh units shares were traded through 4,124 transactions.
Sensitive and float index went down by 2.42 and 0.85 points respectively.
Except Manufacturing & Production sector, all the sub-indices landed in red zone today. Insurance sub-group witnessed the biggest drop of 46.07 points whereas Manufacturing and Production sub-group surged by 30.89 points.
