Market loses 5.79 points, closes at 1,400.16

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has decreased by 5.79 points or 0.41% to close at 1400.16 points.
Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) stood ahead in terms of total turnover for the day with its total transactions exceeding over 1.49 crore. Jalabidyut Lagani tatha Bikas Company Limited (HIDCL) waqs ahead in terms of number of shares traded as 45,030 shares were traded during the day.
Sindhu Bikas Bank (SINDU) made the highest profit today as their value increased by 4.03% to Rs 155. Likewise, Multipurpose Finance Company (MPFL) was the top loser as its value decreased by 34 points or 9.9415% and its LTP was Rs 308 hitting the negative circuit.
Both the Sensitive and Float index decreased by 0.74 points and 0.35 points respectively.
The indices of all the trading groups showed a downward movement and landed in red today except Trading and Hydropower. Trading sector gained by 6.33 points while Hotels lost 21.36 points.
NEPSE had opened at 1405.95 and it started its downfall from the start of the day. At the end of the day, the index ended losing 5.79 points.
The total turnover of the day was Rs 28.55 crore where more than 7 lakh units of shares were exchanged through 4,103 transactions.
