Market in correction mode; Index gains a meager 0.56 points with turnover of Rs 1.21 arba

On the first trading day of the week, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has inclined by 0.56 points or 0.03% to close at 1651.60 points today. NEPSE Index opened at 1651.04 points today, the local bourse went up to 1665.32 in the first trading hour of the day and was seen fluctuating afterward. The sensitive index, that measures weighted price change of Group A companies has decreased by 0.10 points (0.03%). 210,263 units shares of Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) and 124,215 units shares of Nepal Credit  and Commerce Bank Limited (NCCB) were traded the most today. Green Development Bank Limited (GRDBL), Gurkhas Finance Limited (GUFL) and Srijana Finance Limited (SFFIL) hit positive circuit today. Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) and Surya Life Insurance Company Limited (SLICL) had the highest turnover of Rs 10.45 crore and Rs 5.84 crore respectively. The number of transactions of NBL and SLICL reached 453 and 334. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 1.21 arba where more than 19.26 lakh units shares were traded through 8,207 transactions. Sensitive index and float index decreased 0.1 and 0.01 points respectively. Except Hotels, Insurance and Manufacturing & Production sub-indices, all other sub-indices landed in green zone today.
