Market goes back to red; tanks 4.87 points closing at 1,356.15 points

NEPSE index after yesterday’s green has declined today by 4.87 points or 0.36%. The market today had opened at 1,361.02 points, which fluctuated throughout the day and ultimately landed in red zone. Total turnover worth Rs 34.07 crore was witnessed during the trading hours as more than 6.54 lakh unit shares were traded in the whole day through 5,634 transactions.
Forward Community Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha (FOWAD) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than 2.15 crore worth of shares were traded. Similarly, NMB Bank (NMB) was the top in case of number of shares traded as 35,837 unit shares were exchanged.
Likewise, the top gainer for the day is Samata Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (SMATA) whose price increased by a meagre 3.91% closing at Rs. 824. And, Sindhu Bikas Bank (SINDU) was the top loser of the day losing 6.8493% on its price.
The sub-indices for all the sectors except Others declined and closed in red today. The top losing sector was Insurance, tumbling by 18.69 points. The only sector in green, Others, gained only 0.09 points.
