Market gains big after NRB releases new regulation for BFIs; NEPSE gains 30.26 points while four companies hit the positive circuit

The market today was gaining around 10-12 points before NRB released the circular regarding new regulations for BFIs. After the release of the circular, the market saw uninterrupted growth and closed to gain 2.55% or 30.26 points. The benchmark index closed at 1216.27 points. The turnover today was of Rs.69.26 Crore which was achieved from trade of 1,900,103 units of shares traded through 7,587 transactions trading scrips of 173 listed companies in the process.

Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) stood ahead in terms of shares traded and turnover after 141,269 units of shares were traded to post a turnover of Rs.4.36 Crore. The LTP of the bank stands at Rs.309 per share.

Four companies hit the positive circuit today among which Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) was the top gainer as it gained 9.99% or 175 points to close at Rs.1926 per share. Today’s top loser, Gandaki Bikas Bank (GDBL), lost 5.79% or 12 points to close at Rs.195 per share.

Sensitive Index gained 6.41 points and closed at 258.82 points while Float Index gained 2.38 points and closed at 88.57 points.

All of the sub-indices gained points today, ending in the green zone. The top gaining sub-index was Life Insurance sector after it gained 7.79% or 443.5 points.
