Market gains 2.40 points to end at 1,288.36 points; Nepal Bank traded the most during the day

The local bourse at Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) increased by 2.40 points to close at 1,288.36 points. The market had started at 1,285.96 points and at the end of the day closed gaining 2.40 points or 0.19%.
The total turnover for the day was Rs 23.37 crore with more than 6.25 lakh shares being traded during the day. The total of 3,157 transactions were performed throughout the day.
Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) stood ahead in terms of total turnover for the day as more than Rs 1.54 crore worth of shares were traded. It was also ahead in terms of stocks traded as 47,626 shares were traded during the day.
The shareholders of Soaltee Hotel Limited (SHL) earned the most as the value of its share increased by 12 points and its LTP was Rs 256. Similarly, Civil Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (CLBSL) was the top loser for the day losing 20 points while its LTP stood at Rs 701.
Both the sensitive and float index gained 0.65 and 0.18 points respectively.
Among the sub-indices, only Manufacturing & Production fell on the losing side as it lost 25.9 points. Hotels gained 75.71 points which was followed by Hydropower which gained 13.67 points.
