Market gains 15.71 points after a slow start; four companies hit the positive circuit today

The market today was sloppy for a little while in the morning with the protest at NEPSE after which it was in the red zone for some time. Despite the speedbumps, the market gained 1.30% or 15.17 points and closed at 1182.78 points. The turnover today was of Rs.42.03 Crore against the request of the pressure group to protest by not trading. The turnover was achieved through trade of 1,260,518 units of shares traded through 3,670 transactions trading scrips of 159 companies in the process.
Today’s highest turnover was achieved by Chhimek Laghubitta (CBBL) at Rs. 4.83 Crore with its LTP at Rs.830 per share. Global IME Bank Promoter Shares (GBIMEP) stood ahead in terms of shares traded with trade of 197,597 units of shares. The LTP of the same stands at Rs.180 per share.
Four companies hit the positive circuit today. Mirmire Laghubitta (MMFDB) gained 9.92% or 108 points, Kalika Laghubitta (KMCDB) gained 9.89% or 82 points, Purnima Bikas Bank (PURBL) gained 9.80% or 15 points and Aarambha Microfinance (AMFI) gained 9.21% or 63 points. Today’s top loser, Kalika Power Company (KPCL), lost 3.73% or 4 points to close at Rs.103 per share.
Sensitive Index gained 2.97 points to close at 251.63 points and Float Index gained 1.17 points to close at 86.22 points.
Among the sub-indices, trading sector lost 1.26% while rest of the sub-indices ended in the green zone. Non-Life Insurance gained the most at 4.20% or 220.51 points.
