Market falls down by 15.78 points, closes at 1440.29

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has decreased by 15.78 points or 1.08% to close at 1440.29 points.
NEPSE had opened at 1456.07 and it started its downfall from the start of the day. At the end of the day, the index ended losing 15.78 points.
The total turnover of the day was Rs 37.48 crore where more than 15 lakh units of shares were exchanged through 4,523 transactions.
Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) stood ahead in terms of total turnover for the day with its total transactions exceeding over 3.86 crore. 33,960 no. of shares of Sanima Mai Hydropower Limited (SHPC) were traded today, making it the most traded scripts.
Forward Community Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Ltd (FOWAD) made the highest profit today as their value increased by 5.16% to Rs 3505. Likewise, Everest Insurance Company Ltd was the top loser hitting the negative circuit where its last trading price was Rs 1971.
Both the Sensitive and Float index decreased by 3.19 points and 0.97 points respectively.
The indices of all the trading groups showed a downward movement and landed in red today. Insurance sector decreased by 169.82 points which was followed by Manufacturing and Production losing 27.89 points.
