Market dives 9.18 points after the double digit gain of yesterday; the anticipation of budget creates higher fluctuations in the index

NEPSE index has declined today by 9.18 points or 0.69%. The market today had opened at 1,336.44 points and kept fluctuating throughout the day ultimately closing in the red zone.

Total turnover worth Rs 41.7 crore was witnessed during the trading hours as more than 8.4 lakh unit shares were traded in the whole day through 5,256 transactions.

NMB Bank Limited (NMB) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than 3.02 crore worth shares were traded. Similarly, NMB was also the top in case of number of shares traded as 171,425 unit shares were exchanged.

Likewise, the top gainer for the day is Unnati Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha (UMB) whose price increased by 9.10% closing at Rs. 1,259. And, Mega Bank (MEGA) was the top loser of the day losing 9.96% on its price.

The sub-indices for all sectors except Insurance declined and closed in red. Trading sector gained 5.69 being the only sector that climbed today. Similarly, hotels sector lost the most today tumbling by 33.18 points.
