Market dips slightly; Closes at 1,178.87 points losing 1.56 points

Nepal Stock Exchange registered a fall of 1.56 points to end the day. The index which had opened at 1,180.43 points lost 0.13% to close at 1,178.87 points.
The total turnover for the day amounted to Rs 27.69 crore which was amassed through exchange of 7,97,613 unit shares. During the day, the shares of 158 companies were exchanged through 3,723 transactions.
Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) was the top stock based on turnover and units traded. 84,700 unit shares of Nepal Bank Limited worth Rs 2.61 crore were exchanged during the trading period.
United Modi Hydropower Limited (UMHL) was the top gainer for the day gaining 6 points while its LTP stood at Rs 126. However, Kalika Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (KMCDB) was the top loser for the day losing 77 points while its LTP stood at Rs 1,027.
Both the sensitive index and float index decreased by 0.48 points and 0.11 points respectively.
Out of the 11 sub-indices, Banking, Development Bank and Hydropower sector ended in the red zone. Hydropower sector lost 6.37 points while Life Insurance sector gained 68.05 points.
