Market declines by 14.47 points; Turnover stands at Rs 59.93 crore

The benchmark capital market index, Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE), has decreased by 14.47 points or 0.96% to close at 1493.78 points.
Today, NEPSE Index opened at 1508.26 points and the local bourse was seen decreasing throughout the day. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 59.93 crore where more than 14.05 lakh units’ shares were traded through 5,192 transactions.
Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 7.94 crore) and Nepal Grameen Bikas Bank Ltd. Promoter Share (NGBBLP) topped the list in terms of shares traded (1,91,992 units) today.
Sensitive and float index decreased by 3.07 points and 0.74 points respectively.
The sub-indices of all ten sectors were seen in red at the end of the day. Insurance sector lost the most (i.e. 59.67 points) followed by others sector (i.e. 36.44 points).
Arun Finance Limited (ARUN) was the top gainer while Synergy Power Development Ltd. (SPDL) was among the top losers.
