Market declines by 12.32 points; Turnover stands at Rs 47.58 crore

The benchmark capital market index, Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE), has decreased by 12.32 points or 0.83% to close at 1472.15 points. index Today, NEPSE Index opened at 1486.51 points and the local bourse was seen decreasing throughout the day. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 47.58 crore where more than 9.90 lakh units’ shares were traded through 5,102 transactions. Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 3.77 crore) followed by NTC (Rs 3.58 crore) and     Janata Bank Nepal Ltd. (JBNL)  topped the list in terms of shares traded (98,915 units) today. Sensitive and float index decreased by 2.74 points and 0.75 points respectively. Except Manufacturing & Production, the sub-indices of all nine sectors were seen in red at the end of the day.  Others sector lost the most (i.e. 23.14 points) followed by hydropower sector (i.e. 22.47 points). Mahuli Samudayik Laghubitta Sanstha Ltd. (MSLB) was the top gainer while Vijaya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (VLBS) was among the top losers. sector turnover transaction traded loser gainer
