Market declines by 0.89 points; NEPSE Index stands at 1,508.25

The benchmark capital market index, Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE), has decreased by 0.89 points or 0.06% to close at 1508.25 points.
Today, NEPSE Index opened at 1509.20 points and the local bourse was seen fluctuating throughout the day. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 56.83 crore where more than 12.25 lakh units’ shares were traded through 5,219 transactions.
Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 3.20 crore) and Prabhu Bank Limited Promoter Share (PRVUPO) topped the list in terms of shares traded (96,705 units) today.
Sensitive and float index decreased by 0.27 points and 0.14 points respectively.
Except the sub-indices of Banking, Development Bank, Insurance and Microfinance, the sub-indices of remaining six sectors such as Trading, Hotels, HydroPower, Finance, Manufacturing & Production and Others sector was seen in green at the end of the day. Manufacturing & Production sector gained the most (i.e. 21.48 points) whereas Insurance lost the most (i.e. 25.56 points).
Progressive Finance Limited (PROFL) was the top gainer while Lalitpur Finance Ltd. (LFC) was among the top losers.
