Market continues upward trend; Index surges by 21.05 points with turnover of Rs 59.04 crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) rises by 21.05 points or 1.41% to close at 1514.34 on the first trading day of the week.
Except trading sub-indices, all the eight trading groups landed in green with the insurance sector increased the most, 82.12 points.
Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) led the most traded stock group with 1,54,661 units shares being traded followed by Chilime Hydropower Company Limited (CHCL) (46,218 units shares traded).
The total transaction volume stood at 5,641 posting a turnover of Rs 59.04 crore. The companies enjoying highest turnover were Standard Chartered Bank Limited (SCB) followed by Nepal Bank Limited with turnover amounts standing at Rs 6.86 crore and Rs 5.59 crore respectively.
Bishal Bazar Company Limited (BBC) suffered the highest loss while Naya Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NNLB) was the biggest gainer.
Sensitive and float index went up by 4.72 points and 1.58 respectively.
